Don't expect haute cuisine or flattering candlelight. This is a place best enjoyed for the people watching and the diner-style breakfasts.
We usually eat here in the mornings when we stay at the Hotel Chelsea, and the staff welcome us with a "Hi! Where have you been?," even when it's been months since our last visit. Enjoy a waffle, eggs, or a toasted bagel, have them refill that bottomless cup of coffee, and watch the weird and wonderful locals roll in and out.
Pros: Great people-watching, staff remember who you are, good solid diner food
Cons: Poor lighting, dinner menu a bit dodgy
Waste of money

On a beautiful day my friend and I entered this diner and were stuffed in the back next to a service station, despite plenty of open tables at the front, which was open to the sidewalk. The waiter wanted to take our order even though it was very obvious that I was still looking at the menu. I ordered the Fettucini Alfredo and it was awful. It tasted like the cook skimped on the Alfredo cheese and it was mostly cream and noodles. Even dousing it with salt and pepper didn't help and I ate very little of it. It didn't taste good as leftovers, either, so I had to throw it in the garbage where it belonged. Plus, I ordered a ceasar salad with it and THAT was disgusting. The dressing was practically flavorless and too thick. How do you screw up ceasar salad? Cheap dressing, maybe?
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Bad food, Bad service
