JerryDugger's Bio
Jerry Dugger a twenty-one year veteran of the New York City Blues scene, has studied at the feet of the New York City Blues elite, and has earned their respect as a powerful singer, solo artist and bandleader.In the early eighties he was part of the seminal Jump-Blues ensemble Joey Miserable and The Worms, legends of the New York City jam band scene, since credited with initiating the musical careers of Blues Traveler, The Spin Doctors and Joan Osborne. Jerry holds down regular gigs at prominent clubs in New York City, presenting a masterful variety of Blues and Rhythm and Blues, they are The Red Lion, Terra Blues. As a singer songwriter, Jerry has released two albums, October's Son and Guardian Angel, embracing the styles of Ray Charles, Willie Dixon and Keb' Mo'. Jerry made his solo debut as an invited guest of the prestigous Ferrara Buskers Festival, in Ferrara Italy. He has toured the European festival circuit extensively as bassist and singer with the New Orleans based, Andy J. Forest Band. He has recorded with the eclectic New York based band The Bossa Nova Beatniks. He has also developed partnerships with: Jason Rosen of The Last Tribe NYC, singer songwriting sensation Jake Stigers and Jazz Guitarists Grant Green Jr. and Luca Tozzi. Jerry has also appeared on House of Blues Radio, hosted by Dan "Elwood Blues" Ackroyd, and has shared stages with Blues greats James Cotton, Johnny Copeland, Hubert Sumlin, The Holmes Brothers, and even jammed with Stevie Ray Vaughan. Jerry Dugger is an adventurous and engaging performer. He loves what he does and you can hear it in every note he sings. He is an endearing entertainer, drawing his audience into his world and making them part of his performance.
